Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak again

We drove up to Shillong peak early in the morning 9evidently it's a really great place to watch the sunrise), but they denied us entry because we forgot our passports! So we drove back down the mountain a bit and bought vegetables.

Elephant Falls was next on the 'tourist-y things you foreign ought to see' list, and thankfully we didn't need passports to go there.

We stopped at the place where the Spanish doctors were staying, but one of them couldn't find her passport, so we resigned ourselves to not seeing the peak. We were really tired anyway, and wanted to go take naps.

Our chaperone was really disappointed that we couldn't go (more disappointed than we were), but he told us that before he took us back so we could sleep, he would drive us around Shillong a little bit.

Except he was a lying liar who lies, because he drove us to the back entrance  to Shillong peak instead of around the neighborhood like he said he would.  Luckily, we got in without passports this time, even though I had to hide under a coat to avoid getting my red hair spotted.

I like to think the view was worth it, though.
