Digboi is a small mining town in the far, far northeast. There's not much to do there, but thankfully I stayed with a really awesome family. I borrowed some books from the eldest daughter, and ended up reading Steven King for the first time there.
This blog is to document my time as a long-term rotary foreign exchange student, and as a thank you all the wonderful people who contributed - making it possible for me to go.
That is one huge piece of coal in that display! (Or was it not real?) And what Stephen King did you read?
ReplyDeleteI love the PJO books. Way cool. (And the mannequins. They cracked me up.)
ReplyDeleteBig contrast in pictures from ultra modern to the depths of poverty. I love the fun colors on the train.--Grandma M.
