My New House

Mornings around here are really slow - its about 10:30, and I'm the only one who's dressed - so I took some pictures. I have only taken pictures of "my area" here, mostly because I don't know my host family well enough to walk around snapping photos.

The whole second floor is "mine" though the only rooms I'll ever use are the corner bedroom and the washroom in the bedroom right next to it.

I got really lucky when it comes to my bedroom. Not only does it have its own AC unit, it's also where the WiFi router is.

You have no idea how happy I was when I saw that toilet paper.
There is also a nice terrace that over looks the front yard and street right across from my bedroom.

All in all, it's really nice setup.

  1. Wow. What a difference from trying to get up for early morning seminary. Love the pretty garden. I'm curious as to what the flooring is. That is a very interesting pattern and looks sort of like an exotic wood. The bathroom fixtures are the same colors as my mother's. Give my compliments to your hosts on a lovely home.--Grandma M.

  6. Grandma: All the floors in this house are stone. I actually had a really interesting conversation with my host sister yesterday about flooring, because I was really impressed. It turns out that in India, though, its normal to have stone floors (because its so dusty here) and she was really impressed that my house back home was carpeted.

    1. Very interesting. The pictures of the dining room floor have graining like wood. I would not have guessed that it was stone. Grandma M.
